Brugnara Corporation's Las Vegas Strip purchases and developments include: Silver City Casino, Desert Inn Casino, Silver City Shopping Plaza and Las Vegas Strip Shopping Plaza.

Luke Brugnara is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brugnara Corporation.
Luke is a fourth generation San Franciscan, growing up in the Sunset District, attending Holy Name Grammar School, where he was Student Council and editor of the newspaper and yearbook (which Luke began for Holy Name School), and then attended St. Ignatius Preparatory for high school, where Luke competed in track setting records in the long jump, which stand today. Luke won the Jesse Owens National Invitational in Houston (at 13 years old) and Los Angeles (14 years old) jumping 17'6" and 21'0 respectively, winning the national championships. Luke also set the national accuracy flycasting record for the American Casting Association at 14 years old in Columbus, Ohio casting a perfect score (100) in the fly accuracy, which still stands today as the national record.
Luke attended San Diego State University and graduated with degrees in Speech Communication and Finance (1988). Luke ran track at San Diego State, winning the 400 meters in the Western Athletic Conference (Div.I) in 1987 with a time of 46.80.
Luke attended San Francisco Law School (1988-1989) after graduating from San Diego State. Luke worked as an investment banker for Money Mart and the Buchanan Group before forming Brugnara Corporation in 1992.
Luke is married to Kay, whom he met at San Diego State and married in 1990. They have four children: Luke II, Vincent, Lauren and Brianna.
Luke and his family have lived in Sea Cliff for the past 21 years and Las Vegas. Luke purchased his Sea Cliff estate from Cheech Marin in 2000. Luke leased his 25,000 sq. ft. Las Vegas mansion to Michael Jackson in 2008 for $1 miilion dollars for six months. Luke's house was the largest home in Las Vegas at that time.
Luke II is Vice President of Brugnara Corporation, running the company from 2014 to 2020. Luke II currently runs operations for Brugnara Corporation.
Vincent Brugnara is also Vice President of Brugnara Corporation, since 2019. Vincent is involved in operations of Brugnara Corporation.
Luke has royal lineage, with Hapsburg bloodline on both his mother's and father's side. Hannibal Brugnara, Luke's great grandfather x4, was the Archduke of the Hapsburg Holy Roman Empire from 1760-1796. On his mother's side, Pelegri-deMerimon, Luke's great grandparents, were the Marquess and Marquessa of Catalonia/Barcelona in the 17th-early 20th century.
Luke was bestowed honorary 33rd degree by Sovereign Grand Commander of the Free Masons - Henry Clausen in 1993. Luke is a benefactor of many charitable causes including: Catholic Charities, AIDS Foundation, Tuberculosis Clinic, Homeless Coalition, Habitat for Humanity and Rainforest Coalition. Luke offered the San Francisco Archdiocese $3.5 million dollars in 2004 to save St. Brigid Church from secularization.
Luke’s maternal great grandfather x2 is Alexander Morrison, founder of venerable law firm Morrison and Foerster, who was a SF civic luminary and judge, who endowed the Academy of Sciences (Morrison Planetarium) and UC Berkeley library (Morrison Library). Other civic leaders related to Luke include: Uncle Angus Morrison, CA Attorney General (1960s) and Uncle Tony Ribera, SF Chief of Police (1990s).
Luke's interests include: spending time with his family, walks in Golden Gate Park, museums, playing the piano, writing, eating good food and learning new ideas from people.
